The watchtower of Jinan Meide Group Institute in Shandong, China, is a circular structure rising about 30 meters above ground. It is a curtain wall composed of a circle of glass that is 4 meters high with the total area of 800 m².In order to present the corporate image, the LOW - E double layered Novoglass of NEXNOVO successfully replaced one-third of the original glass, making the entire watchtower become the most dazzling part of this building.
Today, let me share how NEXNOVO use excellent customised capabilities to complete this large-scale circular aerial curtain wall project.
Challenge 1: Large-format Novoglass perfectly integrates with the original building

Each cabinet of this double layered Novoglass measures 1080mm in width and 4020mm in height, making it an extremely large size in the industry. There are 29 pieces of glass installed, using flat glass instead of curved visually perceived as a continuous curve. With power supply at both the top and bottom, it achieves a seamless joint display and smooth playback. Also, the brightness is up to 2500 nits and being able to be played all day long.
Challenge 2: Dual assurance of structural safety and visual effect

Installing ultra-large Novoglass 30 meters above the ground needs to ensure the stability and safety of the glass structure itself. It withstands various adverse weather conditions and external stress. At the same time, it ensures that it is in harmony with the overall style of the building after installation. While achieving the function of delivering information, it does not damage the original aesthetic design and achieves a perfect integration of structural safety and visual effect.
